The Chemical Emergency Prevention and Planning (CEPP) Bulletin, Winter 2015, highlighted usage of the incorrect hose type for ammonia transfer operations. Hoses for any use should be compatible with the chemical it’s exposed to. Inspections and proper procedures should be utilized for every loading/unloading operation.
