Capabilities Assessments

Risk Management Professionals has extensive experience completing WMD and Hazardous Materials Needs Assessments for all city departments, including Fire, Police, Public Works, and Government Administration.  These assessments are targeted at identifying the current levels of equipment, training, planning, and mutual aid available and the resources that will be necessary for a timely response to a Hazardous Materials or WMD event.  The plans include a needs assessment that will enable each agency to intelligently target their efforts and funding towards the necessary equipment, training, and planning.

Risk Management Professionals staff stay on the forefront of computer software and web-based tools.  As an example, the RMP Project Team developed a web-based tool for completing Capabilities and Needs Assessments in order to simplify data collection.  The RMP Project Team members have expertise in mastering the latest software tools and training individuals on their use.

Project Team members are also experienced assessing current training milestones that have been achieved by each agency.  Together, these assessments develop an overall agency assessment of training and response capability needs and developing an implementation plan in accordance with the related requirements.
